A Muslim girl was kicked out of a karate class by her instructor because she was wearing a hijab.
Outraged, the Quebec Human Rights Commission has demanded a $13,000 settlement on the girl’s behalf,
and the Muslim girl’s parents are worried that the dispute will leave their daughter mentally scarred.
The incident began when the karate instructor told the girl to remove her hijab to participate in class,
and he claimed that the martial arts philosophy of karate requires students to wear the same clothing.

The Canadian Karate Association released a statement on the incident

However, the Canadian Karate Association denied this and said that there is nothing wrong with wearing a hijab in karate.
For an instructor to make such a point when a girl who loves karate is in his class is a violation of her basic human rights.
