After winning a competition in Gaza, Mais Elbostami became the first Palestinian karate champion.
Her goal is to compete in international karate tournaments, but the recent Israeli military offensive forced her to flee Gaza with her family.

Mais Elbostami makes the Palestinian national team with the help of a coach

Mais Elbostami, who was stuck in Gaza, was lucky enough to get into the Egyptian national team with the help of the Palestinian national team coach,
and she continues to practice in hopes of winning the next championship. Her next competition will be the Egyptian national championship in August,

Eva Levy and Daniela win bronze and silver medals at the competition

The Karate-No-Michi World Federation SA National Children and Youth Championships took place this week,
and Deutsche International School Johannesburg students Eva Levy and Daniela won bronze and silver medals at the prestigious event.
Eva Levy started karate when she was punched by a boy in first grade and has been practicing ever since.
Daniela started karate seven years ago and recently learned Jiu Jitsu Ippon Kumite. Eva Levy expressed her pride and excitement at beating a competitor with a higher brown belt than her.
